About Lucidio

Lucidio is a free health-literacy project with one purpose: help people understand the words and numbers on their own health documents well enough to have a better conversation with a healthcare professional.

What Lucidio does

  • Lab Result Translator — you enter one result with its unit and printed reference range; Lucidio calculates where it falls and explains that in plain English. Open the translator.
  • Ask Me — describe a health concern in your own words and get a few short questions to bring to your appointment. Try Ask Me.
  • Lab test guides — plain-English pages about common blood tests. Browse the guides.

Who builds it

Lucidio is a student-built project, not a clinic, laboratory, or medical provider. It is free to use, has no ads, and makes no claim to clinical authority. Explanations are generated by an AI model working from the exact numbers you enter, with strict rules against diagnosing or recommending treatment. You can read the full pipeline on how Lucidio works and the reasoning behind it on why Lucidio.

Privacy

You can use Lucidio without an account; sessions are then stored only in your browser. Creating an account is optional and simply syncs your saved sessions so you can reach them from another device.

For education only. Lucidio does not diagnose, treat, or replace a doctor. Lab results should always be interpreted by a healthcare professional using the patient's symptoms, history, exam, and full lab report.
